Myojou met Marcus in a New York library. He was enticed by the breadth of Marcus’s intelligence. Such knowledge would be needed should the coven survive in changing worlds. In his immortal life, he attains to read as many books as possible, so he has collected a vast amount of literature and has an incredible grasp on computers. His intelligence has somewhat rotted his sense of ‘humanity’ (if it’s possible for a vampire to have one), and thus, Marcus developed some very sick sexual fetishes. He prefers to keep male BloodSlaves and dress them as girls. His first BloodSlave, Lorenzo, was obedient, but fought Marcus as much as possible. Lorenzo completely shamed Marcus when he helped free Braeden Sr., and disappeared. It took him a long to time work up the confidence to take on another BloodSlave. Hunter is his most prized pet so far; he never speaks and always does what he’s told. After Kyuketsuki becomes incapacitated, Marcus takes every opportunity to make himself look good. He would more than happily accept the responsibility of being coven leader, and finds himself constantly quarreling with Murdoch. When Hunter returned to Tower with Braeden and Lorenzo’s location, Marcus strolled into the room and gleefully presented the info to Sidney in front of Murdoch, disgracing him. Marcus assists in extracting Lorenzo and Braeden from the farm. they discover a massive army of Dregs infiltrating Tower when they arrive. Marcus welcomes the challenge and gleefully slays Dreg after Dreg. realizing he is limited on time, Marcus breaks into the tower and meets Garret in Kyu's incubation chamber. they escape just before the building destructs, stopping only to take a deceased Lorenzo with him.
