Braeden
18
Red Eyes – Purple Hair – Medium Build
Braeden was born from his father (Braeden Sr.) and his mother, Sara. When he was only 5, his parents took him and his twin sister Rena, to the park where they fell in love. They were trapped by Myojou and a team of vampires who killed both his parents, changed Rena into a vampire, and bound Braeden as a BloodSlave. For many years Myojou raised Braeden as an efficient and deadly BloodSlave, until he meets Kerrian in high school and quite literally falls in love. Myojou does not approve. He assigns Braeden to deliver Kerrian to him as a sacrifice, but he disobeys. Through several events dawning on the night of a rave, Myojou takes Kerrian for his own, but Braeden kills Myojou and frees Kerrian. They flee into the night and manage to start new lives working, and sharing an apartment. Since Myojou has now taken over Tobi’s body, he has found new vigor as well, and continues to torment the couple. As they flee the city again, their bus makes a brief stop at a highway service station where Demeter is waiting for him. They engage in a dramatic battle and Braeden triumphs. He continues back to the bus to find Tobi tormenting Kerrian and promptly throws him out the window. Murdoch shows up and convinces him to return to the Toronto Tower Coven where Kyuketsuki tortures him, and unlocks his proper memories of his parents. However, he is freed by a guilt-ridden Murdoch. Braeden then sets out to find Kerrian, murdering Millicent in his path. The fight with Kyuketsuki in the church leaves him badly injured, so he drinks from Kyu before fleeing again. Lost in the cold wintry city, he stumbles upon a Tower blood reserve and in-avertedly leads 3 Dregs inside. They attack him, but Lorenzo fends them off, killing the leader of the Dregs, Vance. Lorenzo takes Braeden under his wing and teaches him how to live off the city. They later meander north east to a small farm where they work for only a day. By the next nightfall, the Tower vampires kill the farm family and drag them back to the city. Virel leads the Dregs into the tower, and is completely prepared to exact her revenge on Braden for taking Millicent’s life. Their battle starts on the sky-rises, but ends at the high school. Lorenzo falls to Virel, but Braeden is able to destroy her as she is distracted by a possessed Kerrian. Braeden and his father are the carriers of the Hybrid Gene (NOT Kerrian!) This is why Braeden is named after his father; it was Myojous sneaky way of trying to hide the fact that he mercilessly slaughtered a carrier of the genome.
